Cellular Health = Healthy Body
The body is very wise. Your body is like a computer – your cells are like the chips if you think about how they work. Cellular hunger is what the body needs on a cellular level. The body knows best what it needs and sometimes what the body needs is water rather than food – food is for fuel. Sometimes a dislike or aversion to a particular food points to an intolerance or allergy. On the other hand, some cravings can point to nutrients the body is missing. There are times we can be more cellular aware; when pregnant, when traveling to a new environment, after a health challenge, or major weight loss. Our palate for the unusual and inexplicable may vary. Many of us today can be very disconnected from our cellular bodies – due to our general busyness, tiredness and diet-mentality. It can be quite difficult to really tune in to cellular hunger. With mindfulness practice, time, and patience, you can reconnect with your cellular hunger and literally change your health.
A great way to achieve cellular connectivity is to, for one month change your diet, eat only a few of thesame foods at each meals. Breakfast – eggs, oatmeal, plain greek yogurt, fruits or a smoothie; Lunch/Dinner – basic soups, simple salads, protein (chicken, fish, beef), varietal of vegetables. Lots of water, work out and try not to partake in alcoholic beverages, sweets and simple carbs. For snacks you can do nuts, cheese (preferably a white), light crackers (rice), seaweed snack packs, olive bread, olives, fruit, cottage cheese, trail mixes. You want to think healthy, bland, sugar free and nutrient dense.
